Big Birds come to town.. but not the yellow kind.

While we did manage to show you all the colours of new cranes we have been making with our wonderful new paper, time here has been flat out and a new item has slipped through the blogosphere straight to the market stall! For a time now we have had the resined crane pendants in the 3.5cm size and many people at the markets have been asking for a larger item. So we listened to our customers and made badge sized (~7cm) crane pendants which hang on a 75cm chain (the small ones usually hang at 45cm).

So how much bigger are these new cranes? Check them out in comparison to the original size we make.

The High Noon festival saw the introduction of these larger origami crane pendants to our products and we are taking the fact that the large cranes sold out to be a sign they were a hit. Do not despair though we have managed to make many more in the last few days (thanks mainly to the stock-up of folded cranes we have been putting aside for the last few months) in an even larger range of colours and they will be available once again this weekend at Rose St market. We have yet to show this item to our stockists but we hope you will also be able to find our new pendant size alongside their Lilliputian cousins in stores in the next few months, as well as on Etsy.

Inaugural Flight of the new papers!

If you thought we were excited about the new paper arriving, you will never believe how excited we are to have begun to use it and to be able to offer the first items made from some of these colours for sale the next few weekends (at High Noon and Rose St). Here are a few of the new colours all folded up and waiting for their protective layers and findings…
